Update 4th July: Chiddingfold Parish Council provides £30,000 towards the planning costs.
The Site
The four-hectare site is adjacent to the golf course. Previously used as a driving range the field now sits unused, with brambles growing over the old tee mats, bays and car park. It is owned by Chiddingfold Parish Council, which wholeheartedly supports the project.
The cricket club has surveyed the land, completed a feasibility study to confirm suitability and obtained pre-application advice from Waverley Brough Council. The position of the ground, with views onto the Surrey Hills, is ideal for cricket.
